class. This is the third item's accordion body. Nothing more exciting happening here in terms of content, but just filling up the space to make it look, at least at first glance, a bit more representative of how this would look in a real-world application.
On Saturday, 5 October 2024 at 3.00 p.m., at the Aula Magna of the Società di Incoraggiamento d'Arti e Mestieri (SIAM, via Santa Marta 18 Milan), the second conference on the ‘Future Perspectives of Dance in Italy’, a dialogue between Institutions and Higher Education, will be held.
The event, which is part of the calendar of initiatives of the ‘AFAM Grand Tour’ - a project financed by PNRR funds that intends to enhance the AFAM network and promote its internationalisation, through the activation of activities aimed at the preservation and promotion of Italian culture and made in Italy - is open to the public while places are available, with compulsory registration at dance.management@accademialascala.it.
The afternoon will be divided into two parts. In the first one, coordinated by Francesca Pedroni, dance historian and critic and teacher at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, the state of the art of the legislative reforms in the dance sector will be discussed.
Speakers will include Francesco Giambrone (President of AGIS and Superintendent of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma), Roberto Giovanardi (President of the Permanent Table for Dance), Mauro Bigonzetti (Choreographer) and Mvula Sungani (Advisor to the Ministry of Culture for dance and the dance corps of the lyrical symphonic foundations). In the second part Roberto Giovanardi will hold the reins, who will dialogue with Frédéric Olivieri (Director of the Dance Department of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala), Mauro Bigonzetti and Fabio Mongelli (CIANS President and RUFA Director).
This is the second consecutive year that the Academy has offered this important event to all professionals and enthusiasts of the dance sector. It comes at the end of the Workshop in dance management, the programme of the La Scala school aimed at those who wish to develop specific skills in the organisation, production and distribution of dance performances and in the management of tours and dance companies.
The workshop is part of the rich offer of the Academy's Management Department, which already includes the Master in performing arts management, the Executive Master in sponsoring and fundraising for art and entertainment, the Stage Direction Course, the Workshop in production management and the Workshop for assistant director.
In 2025, the catalogue will be further expanded to include a Course for Theatre Assistant Directors.
