class. This is the third item's accordion body. Nothing more exciting happening here in terms of content, but just filling up the space to make it look, at least at first glance, a bit more representative of how this would look in a real-world application. On Jan. 23, at 5 p.m., the Soloists of the Academy of Lyric Opera - accompanied on piano by Michele D'Elia - will open a new cycle of “Concerts of the Academy” at the Ridotto Toscanini of Teatro alla Scala, with a recital with the evocative title “Intrigues and Passions of Royal Characters in Melodrama.”
María Martín Campos, Laura Lolita Perešivana (sopranos), Dilan Şaka (mezzo-soprano), Haiyang Guo (tenor), Wonjun Jo and Chao Liu (baritones) will give voice to the stirrings of the soul of Adelaide di Borgogna, Semiramide, Alina (Queen of Golconda), Peter the Great, Caterina Cornaro, Macbeth, Joan of Arc, Alim (Le roi de Lahore), Cleopatra and Ernani, interpreting the best-known pages from the operas featuring them.
Admission is free upon collection of tickets available exclusively at the Theater Box Office, starting one week before the event.
As a reminder, application for the Academy of Lyric Opera is open until April 9.
The course is free of charge and can be accessed by passing a selection divided into four stages: video pre-selection (to be sent along with the application for admission), elimination, semifinal and final in presence in Milan, at the Academy's spaces and the Teatro alla Scala.
Those admitted to attendance will enjoy a monthly scholarship, commensurate with actual class attendance and participation in scheduled productions. A brochure, complete with every detail, can be downloaded from the course page. The Academy also organizes orientation sessions for those who would like a direct confrontation with the course staff: the calendar can be consulted here.
